In the mid-80's, Beth Cayce moved to the north Lake Tahoe area with her husband and daughter, taking another step in her career as chef and manager in the food & beverage industry. Shortly after, she became a single mom and left her vocation with its demands and chose instead to take on a simpler, daytime job and became an apprentice painter. Amazingly, the pay was the same! Four and a half years later, she became one of the first licensed female painting contractors in northern California. In 2000, Beth decided it was the right time to divert her contractor license, experience of thirteen years in standard painting, and natural talent in art, into decorative painting - all areas of faux (wood, metal, stone - including marble, granite, sandstone, etc.), trompe l'oeil, murals; and expanded to excel in wood and furniture antiquing and aging. She became immediately successful. Beth has works in over 150 private homes and commercial properties in the north Tahoe region, and also in San Diego, San Francisco, Pebble Beach, Auburn, Sacramento, California; also Seattle; Miami; Atlanta; Manhattan. Her knowledge of all aspects of paint - materials, application, chemistry, tools, combined with a passion to serve her clients by aligning their vision with the perfect possibilities makes Beth Cayce an artist that is vastly skilled in her trade, intuitively strong, resourceful, and is uniquely committed— and able—to create a powerful, satisfying, classic and enduring work for you. "Though I am an artist, and a technician in the field of paint, my greatest strength is discovering with my client what their particular vision is, even when they think they don't have one. I serve. I'm devoted to serving. Where this commitment comes from, I myself am not sure of, and would not have it any other way. Thank you for your consideration." |
